Terms of service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of letsdebunk, the fact-checking and civic education platform of the Empowering Ghanaian Youth Against Disinformation (EGYAD) project. By using the platform you agree to these terms.
Using the platform
letsdebunk is free to use. You may browse articles, search verified claims, use the learning tools, and submit claims for verification without an account.
You agree not to misuse the platform — including attempting to disrupt the service, scraping content at scale, or submitting material that is unlawful, defamatory, or intended to harass.
Submitting claims
When you submit a claim, you confirm that you have the right to share any material you upload. You grant us permission to review, reproduce, and reference the submitted material for the purpose of fact-checking and publishing a verdict.
We decide which submitted claims to verify and publish. Submission does not guarantee a published fact-check.
Our content
Published fact-checks, articles, and learning materials are provided for public benefit. You may share and quote them with attribution to letsdebunk. Verdicts reflect the evidence available at the time of publication and may be updated when new evidence emerges.
Third-party links
The platform links to external sources and official websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is". While our editors work to a rigorous standard, we cannot guarantee that every piece of information is complete, current, or error-free. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal advice.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
